Full-Time STS Technical Services is hiring experienced A&P Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics in Waterford, Michigan. In this role, you'll work directly on business-class, transport-category aircraft and ensure they meet the highest standards of airworthiness and safety. Position Summary:
As an A&P Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a hands-on role in the day-to-day maintenance operations for a premier aviation services provider. You'll be part of a dynamic team that values precision, safety, and technical excellence. We're looking for detail-oriented professionals ready to make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbine-powered aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards Inspect, troubleshoot, test, and repair aircraft airframes and engines Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and blueprints to diagnose and repair discrepancies Use precision instruments to assess wear and execute component replacements as needed Document all work performed using approved maintenance records and procedures Collaborate with OEMs, pilots, inspectors, and fellow technicians to maintain aircraft compliance Support flexible work shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (required) Minimum of 1-2 years of recent A&P experience; turbine-powered aircraft strongly preferred Experience working in an FAA-certified Part 145 repair station (required) Familiarity with Part 135 operations (preferred) Inspection Authorization (IA) and/or FCC License are a plus Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems Ability to work independently while ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures Clear written and verbal communication skills Customer-focused attitude and a commitment to service excellence
