Ability to read and interpret aircraft blueprints. This position is for 5th shift (Weekend Nights), Friday-Sunday from 6:00pm-6:30am. Upcoming A&P graduates will be considered. Successful completion of licenses must be obtained prior to beginning employment with Gulfstream. The base compensation range for this role is $27.74 - $32.36 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to: minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) or FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate. Valid Driver's License required.Position Purpose:
Under close supervision, perform or assist with various functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. Perform basic aircraft maintenance and perform troubleshooting and repair duties.Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Perform assigned maintenance and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems . Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems . Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements . Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner . Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications . Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely . Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment . Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components . Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed .Additional Functions:
Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean . Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment . Coordinate movement of aircraft, as required. . Maintain working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures .Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
