This is a hands-on manufacturing position requiring strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and excellent communication and teamwork skills. The role involves fabricating and assembling structural components using blueprints, precision tools, fixtures, templates, and established manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Read and understand blueprints. Translate blueprints into fabrication of structural assemblies. Perform precision drilling and countersinking using calibrated tools. Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Perform filing, sawing, deburring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming operations. Measure parts using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. Modify incomplete and completed assemblies to incorporate structural changes. Verify quality in accordance with statistical process controls and other applicable procedures. Utilize manufacturing shop controls and systems on a daily basis. Use appropriate PPE when working on the manufacturing shop floor. Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities related to production methods, equipment performance, and team effectiveness.
