Kinston, NC Job Responsibilities Perform composite assembly, fabrication, repair, and rework on aerospace structural components. Work with composite materials including carbon fiber, fiberglass, honeycomb core, prepreg, resins, adhesives, and laminates . Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications . Perform composite layup, bonding, trimming, drilling, sanding, and surface preparation. Cut, fit, shape, and install composite materials and structural components according to specifications. Operate composite manufacturing equipment including ovens, autoclaves, hydraulic presses, vacuum-bagging equipment, and curing equipment . Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and composite-specific tooling. Perform dimensional and visual inspections to verify proper fit, finish, thickness, and overall quality. Identify defects, delamination, voids, cracks, and other composite discrepancies and perform required repair or rework. Complete composite repairs, structural modifications, and corrective work according to approved procedures. Apply resins, adhesives, sealants, and other approved materials while following specified mixing and application procedures. Maintain accurate production and quality documentation. Follow aerospace safety, quality, FOD prevention, 5S, and AS9100 requirements. Maintain clean and organized work areas and properly handle composite materials and chemical products. Work closely with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and other production teams to resolve fabrication and assembly issues. Required Qualifications Experience in aerospace composite manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or repair . Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints and technical documentation. Hands-on experience with carbon fiber, fiberglass, honeycomb, prepreg, resins, adhesives, and composite laminates . Experience with composite layup, bonding, trimming, drilling, sanding, and repair. Ability to use precision measuring tools and composite tooling. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work in a production environment and meet quality and productivity requirements. "TA01"
