Position Type:
Full-Time | Contract Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic III (Hydraulic Team Lead) to support depot-level maintenance and modification efforts on MHU-196 and MHU-204 heavy munitions trailers under USAF Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs). This role supports operational readiness across multiple Air Force bases and TDY locations. The selected candidate will lead maintenance teams performing complex modifications, hydraulic system work, and operational checks in accordance with Air Force Technical Orders and engineering data. Responsibilities Lead maintenance teams on scheduled/unscheduled repairs Perform and oversee hydraulic hose replacement, system bleeding, and operational checks Execute TCTOs (TO 35D3-29-3-517/522/521/523) Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural issues Conduct inspections and operational testing Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings Ensure compliance with maintenance documentation and safety standards Support tool control and hazmat procedures Requirements 4+ years aircraft or support equipment maintenance experience 1+ year leadership/team lead experience Strong hydraulic systems experience (required) Ability to read and interpret technical data and blueprints Experience with system diagnostics, repair, and operational checks Knowledge of pressurized systems and hazardous materials handling Normal color vision required Must be able to obtain a CAC Work Locations & Travel Primary duty location will be specified at time of hire. Travel may be required to: Dyess AFB, TX Edwards AFB, CA Ellsworth AFB, SD Sheppard AFB, TX Additional Info Tools provided Work performed to USAF Technical Order standards Supporting
