Posted 06/2026 Job Description Job Summary STS Technical Services is hiring Aircraft Turbine Mechanics in Salt Lake City, Utah and Ogden, Utah. This contract-to-direct opportunity supports a growing fleet of turbine and turboprop aircraft in a high-demand maintenance environment where speed, accuracy, and compliance matter. Position Overview We are seeking experienced Aircraft A&P Mechanics with strong turbine aircraft experience to support fleet availability and operational reliability. This role requires technicians who can troubleshoot effectively, document accurately, and perform maintenance in full compliance with FAA regulations. This is an opportunity to step into a team that values execution, accountability, and continuous improvement without the typical MRO friction. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbine and turboprop aircraft Troubleshoot mechanical and avionics discrepancies using sound judgment Complete all maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards Accurately document maintenance actions using digital tracking systems Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Flight Operations, and Parts teams Support aircraft readiness and efficient turnaround times Provide maintenance support at primary bases and remote locations as required Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Qualifications
Education and Licensing:
High School Diploma or equivalent Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License required Inspection Authorization preferred but not required OEM or factory training on turbine aircraft preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining turbine and or turboprop aircraft Strong understanding of FAA regulations including Part 135 operations
Skills and Attributes:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to work independently and within a team Additional Requirements Must be willing and able to work in Salt Lake City, Utah or Ogden, Utah Must be open to a contract-to-direct hire transition Strong communication skills and professionalism in a team environment Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a dependable, safety-focused Aircraft Mechanic who thrives in turbine aircraft environments and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality maintenance.
