We are looking for an experienced, self-directed A&P mechanic to take ownership of maintenance on our Cessna 172, 206, and 207 aircraft. Inspection Authorization is preferred, not required. This is not a "wait to be told what to do" job. The right person already knows how to run work, keep airplanes flying, and hold a high standard without someone standing over their shoulder. The role You will be apart of a small team who keeps the fleet airworthy and available. That means inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, documentation, and the judgment for swift actions to keep aircraft in the air. You should be comfortable working independently or in teams, setting the pace for the hangar, and leading by example if others are working around you. Responsibilities Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Cessna 172, 206, and 207 aircraft Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and return to service airframe, powerplant, electrical, and related systems Diagnose discrepancies, determine the correct repair, and complete the work to manufacturer data and FARs Complete accurate logbook entries, work orders, and maintenance records Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hangar Required qualifications Current FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate Several years of hands-on experience maintaining Cessna 172, 206, and/or 207 aircraft (not just "general aviation" in general) Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision Strong troubleshooting skills and the habit of finishing what you start Ability to read and apply maintenance manuals, IPCs, ADs, and related technical data Accurate, timely documentation Own a basic set of aviation tools Able to read, write, speak, and understand English Eligible to work in the United States Able to meet the physical demands of the job (standing, kneeling, lifting, working in and around aircraft) Preferred qualifications Current FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) Experience performing and signing annuals and 100-hour inspections on Cessna 172, 206, and 207 aircraft Who this is for A self-starter who does not need a punch list handed to them every day Someone who takes pride in the work and in the airplanes leaving the hangar A natural leader—quiet or loud, does not matter—as long as the standard is high and the work gets done A mechanic who already knows these Cessnas well enough to be productive on day one This is not a training position and not a place for someone who needs constant direction.

Pay:

$30.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
