MUST HAVE PREVIOUS FIRE PROTECTION EXPERIENCE

>We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Fire Protection Specialist to join our DTE Fire Protection team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems such as Semi-Annual Commercial Kitchen Inspections, Annual Fire Riser Inspections, Backflow inspections, Fire Extinguisher Inspections as well as Emergency Light and Exit sign inspections. This role requires a strong understanding of fire alarm systems, construction inspection, and system design to effectively assess and implement fire safety measures, being able to read blueprints or have pipe fitting experience is a plus. Duties Conduct inspections of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, kitchen systems, Fire sprinkler systems, backflow testing (if Applicable), fire extinguisher services, Fire Pump inspections, to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations. Provide expertise in Fire system compliance, guiding clients through the selection process for their fire protection needs as well as identifying issues of concern. Strong Communication Skills is a must. Complete detailed reports on inspections, identifying any deficiencies or areas for improvement in existing systems. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices related to fire safety and protection. Assist in training staff on the proper use and maintenance of fire protection equipment. Requirements Proven experience in fire systems, including installation and maintenance. Knowledge of construction inspection processes related to fire safety. Familiarity with system design principles for effective fire protection solutions. Experience in fire sprinkler fitting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. Relevant certifications in fire protection or related fields are a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. Must have own tools or willing to purchase. DTE Provides assistance for this with buy back program. Must have own reliable transportation. DTE will provide Milage or Vehicle stipend for 1st 6 months of training, after completion DTE will provide work vehicle, as long as Tech shows signs of growth, opportunity and follows traffic rules and regulations. Pay:

$20.00 - $27.50 per hour
