Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer for a direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented fire protection design professional with 3 to 5 years of experience designing sprinkler systems for industrial, commercial, and mixed-use residential projects. The Fire Sprinkler Designer will work closely with a collaborative design team to develop accurate layouts, hydraulic calculations, field survey documentation, and fabrication listings. Key Responsibilities
- Design layouts for fire sprinkler systems across industrial warehouse, commercial, and mixed-use residential projects.
- Perform hydraulic calculations to support code-compliant fire protection system designs.
- Use SprinkCAD design software to prepare accurate plans, drawings, and project documentation.
- Conduct field surveys to verify existing conditions and support design development.
- Prepare fabrication listings and coordinate information needed for installation teams.
- Coordinate with other trades and support BIM modeling based on project requirements and experience level. Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 to $100,000 per year.

- Design fire sprinkler system layouts for commercial, industrial, and residential mixed-use projects.
- Complete hydraulic calculations and support system design accuracy.
- Prepare fabrication listings and coordinate design details with internal teams and outside trades.
- Perform field surveying to support project planning and execution.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler design or a closely related fire protection design role.
- Proficiency with SprinkCAD design software.
- Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system layout, hydraulic calculations, and fabrication listing requirements.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with design teams, project stakeholders, and other trades.
- Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented work style.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of HASS.
- Experience with REVIT.
- BIM modeling experience.
- NICET certification or progress toward NICET certification.
