Role Description The Fire Sprinkler Technician (ITM) is a full-time, on-site role based in Pleasanton, CA. This role is responsible for performing inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of fire sprinkler systems and related life safety components in accordance with local, state, and national codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing work orders, conducting site visits, inspecting piping and sprinkler heads, using appropriate tools to complete maintenance or minor repairs, documenting findings and deficiencies, and preparing accurate service reports. The technician will interact with clients and site personnel, explain inspection results, and coordinate follow-up work when necessary. This role may also involve assisting with system troubleshooting, supporting installation teams, maintaining tools and equipment, and following all safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Experience with fire sprinkler systems and sprinkler components, including inspection, testing, and maintenance. Proficiency in using tools safely and effectively for pipe work, adjustments, and minor repairs. Knowledge of safety principles, fire protection codes and standards, and basic piping layouts. Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as plans, schematics, and inspection reports. Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete digital or written reports accurately. Effective communication skills and professional conduct when interacting with clients and coworkers. Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working in various environmental conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites. Previous experience in fire protection, building systems maintenance, or a related trade is preferred. Relevant certifications or licenses in fire sprinkler inspection and testing (e.g., NICET or equivalent) are a plus.
