This is a hands-on installer role on commercial low voltage security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion. You will pull cable, mount and terminate devices, and support installs under a Lead Technician or Foreman. It is a good fit for someone with up to 2 years in commercial construction or low voltage who wants to grow into a full Security Technician. Key Responsibilities Pull and route low voltage cable for security systems in commercial buildings Install and mount devices including cameras, card readers, door hardware, and intrusion sensors Terminate wiring on devices, panels, and equipment Mount equipment according to construction drawings and specifications Read construction drawings and project specifications Support access control, CCTV, and intrusion system installation under a Lead Technician or Foreman Use hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment safely Document completed work accurately Keep the job site clean and organized Communicate clearly with team members and customers on site Work independently on assigned tasks Follow site safety practices at all times Required Qualifications Up to 2 years in commercial construction or low voltage installation Basic knowledge of low voltage systems including access control, CCTV, or intrusion High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read construction drawings and project specifications Experience with hand tools, power tools, and basic test equipment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders Comfortable working in active commercial construction environments Willing to work overtime, weekends, and alternate shifts as needed Reliable attendance and punctuality Able to pass a background check and drug screen and have a valid California driver's license and proof of insurance Preferred Qualifications Security system installation experience Hands-on exposure to access control or CCTV platforms OSHA 10 Experience terminating low voltage cable and mounting security devices Prior work on an install crew under a Lead or Foreman Compensation and Benefits $23 to $27 per hour, based on experience Full-time, non-exempt with overtime available Medical, dental, and life insurance 401k plan Paid time off and paid holidays On-the-job training and development Clear path to advance into higher-level technician work Why This Role This is a real entry point into the security systems trade for someone with a year or two of low voltage or commercial construction behind them.
