(SVA) is a family-owned and operated U.L. certified business that has been serving the Sacramento area since 1972. We specialize in the installation, maintenance, and 24-hour monitoring of commercial and residential burglar and fire alarm systems. Position Summary As an Alarm Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm, intrusion alarm, and related low-voltage systems. You will work directly with customers to ensure their life safety and security systems operate reliably and comply with applicable codes and standards. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair fire alarm, burglar alarm, and low-voltage systems. Perform scheduled inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance. Troubleshoot system failures and identify effective solutions. Program and configure alarm panels and peripheral devices. Complete service documentation and inspection reports accurately. Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional appearance. Ensure all work complies with NFPA, local fire codes, and company standards. Qualifications Experience servicing fire alarm and/or security systems preferred. Knowledge of low-voltage wiring and alarm panel programming. Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. NICET certification or manufacturer certifications are a plus but not required.
