Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm systems across various commercial and industrial facilities. Your expertise will ensure that fire alarm systems operate flawlessly, comply with all relevant building codes and fire safety regulations, and provide reliable protection for occupants and property. Responsibilities Install fire alarm systems including sensors, control panels, and wiring in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and building code requirements Conduct routine fire alarm system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal performance Read electrical blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings to accurately install and modify fire alarm systems Perform system testing and commissioning to verify proper operation of fire alarms and integrated sprinkler systems Inspect fire alarm systems for code compliance with NFPA standards, local fire codes, and NEC regulations Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure seamless integration of fire alarm components Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions, addressing client concerns, and offering training on system operation Experience Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in fire alarm systems or low voltage electrical work Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems including proprietary control panels and sensors Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, electrical blueprint reading, CAD software, and engineering troubleshooting Hands-on experience with building code compliance standards Mechanical knowledge related to fire alarm installation processes and electrical work aligned with NFPA standards Demonstrated ability to perform construction inspections and verify system compliance with fire codes and regulations Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication skills for customer interactions Join us to make a difference by ensuring safety through innovative fire alarm solutions! Pay:
$24.00 - $29.00 per hour
