Competitive, based on experience (Paid Weekly) Join Our Team! A to Z Fire is looking for an experienced Fire & Security Systems Installation Technician to join our growing team. If you have experience installing fire alarm systems, access control, CCTV, burglar alarms, or other low-voltage systems and take pride in quality workmanship, we want to hear from you. As a Field Installation Technician, you'll work at commercial and industrial customer locations installing, programming, and servicing life safety and security systems while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and manufacturer specifications. Responsibilities Install commercial fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm, and other low-voltage security systems. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings. Install conduit, cable, devices, control panels, cameras, and associated equipment. Program, test, troubleshoot, and commission fire and security systems. Perform system inspections and verify compliance with NFPA and local fire codes. Train customers on the operation of newly installed systems. Complete service reports and installation documentation accurately and on time. Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and inventory. Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and office staff. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of commercial fire alarm and/or security system installation experience. Experience with one or more of the following: Fire Alarm Systems CCTV Systems Access Control Systems Burglar/Intrusion Alarm Systems Low-Voltage Cabling Knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable building and fire codes. Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely use ladders and power tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Preferred Qualifications NICET Certification (preferred but not required) State fire alarm or low-voltage license Experience with Honeywell, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Notifier, Bosch, DMP, DSC, Hikvision, Axis, Avigilon, or similar systems.
