Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Alarm Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting a wide range of security and alarm systems, including fire alarms, CCTV surveillance, access control, and low-voltage electrical wiring. Your expertise will ensure our clients' safety and security needs are met with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities Install electrical security systems such as alarm & access control systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, and fire alarm devices in accordance with technical schematics and electrical blueprints. Conduct system design assessments to determine optimal placement of sensors, cameras, and security devices based on client requirements. Troubleshoot equipment issues related to low-voltage electrical systems, computer hardware interfacing, cabling, and network connectivity to ensure seamless operation. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately wire and integrate door security systems, surveillance equipment, and alarm components. Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on security systems using hand tools and power tools while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Provide technical troubleshooting support remotely or on-site for complex system failures or performance issues. Collaborate with customers to deliver excellent service by explaining system features, conducting training sessions, and supporting alarm system sales initiatives. Experience Proven experience as a service technician in electrical security system installation or related field service roles. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience working with low-voltage electrical wiring, cabling, and electrical blueprint reading. Familiarity with computer networking concepts, remote access software, surveillance technologies (CCTV), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and alarm & access control systems. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using technical schematics and troubleshooting protocols. Knowledge of fire alarm systems, door security system integration, physical security system troubleshooting, and electrical experience in low-voltage environments. Prior experience interpreting technical drawings and schematics for electrical wiring projects is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally. Preferred experience and certifications include but are not limited to NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification. ESA Certified Fire Alarm Technician certification or equivalent manufacturer training. System programming, inspection, testing, and commissioning experience. Experience with access control, CCTV, structured cabling, or other integrated low-voltage systems. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Aerial-lift or scissor-lift certification. Experience working in retail, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or occupied commercial environments. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 50.0 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
