$80,000 annual compensation range + up to $5,000 bonus A leading commercial fire and security organization is seeking an experienced Commercial Service Technician to support commercial customers throughout the Miramar, Florida market. This position focuses on servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial fire alarm, life safety, and electronic security systems. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair commercial fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, intercom, and life safety systems Diagnose system issues, replace malfunctioning components, and restore system functionality Perform system testing, signal verification, preventive maintenance, and inspections Service fire alarm panels, initiating devices, and notification appliances Troubleshoot access control controllers, readers, and associated door hardware Service IP cameras, NVR/DVR systems, and video management platforms Complete service reports, work orders, and required documentation Maintain company vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment Provide customers with instruction on proper system operation Support and mentor junior technicians when needed Follow all company safety procedures and operating standards Qualifications 3+ years of commercial fire alarm and/or electronic security service experience Strong hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience Experience with commercial fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, and/or intercom systems Knowledge of local and national fire and life safety codes Experience using multimeters, battery testers, signal testers, and other diagnostic equipment Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and system drawings Strong communication and customer service skills Valid driver's license Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following manufacturers or platforms is highly desirable: Notifier Honeywell Genetec Lenel Bosch Avigilon Siemens Johnson Controls Experience with intercom or nurse call systems and previous experience mentoring or training technicians are also preferred but not required.
