Job Description We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Carpet Capital Multi-System Inc. in Dalton, GA. This position is responsible for leading the installation, service, inspection, and troubleshooting of fire alarm, security, access control, and other low-voltage systems for commercial and industrial customers. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with fire alarm, security, and access control systems, with experience working on Potter and Fire-Lite fire alarm panels being especially important. This individual should be comfortable working independently, troubleshooting system issues, and coordinating work in the field. Responsibilities Lead the installation, programming, service, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems (Experience with Potter and Fire-Lite panels is preferred) Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain security and access control systems Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs of fire alarm and life-safety systems Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, wiring problems, devices, and equipment Install and replace horn strobes, pull stations, smoke detectors, modules, power supplies, and other fire alarm devices Install and service security devices, access control equipment, and related low-voltage components Work with commercial fire alarm control panels and monitoring equipment Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts Coordinate work in the field and ensure projects and service calls are completed properly Communicate professionally with customers regarding system status, repairs, and recommendations Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and other required paperwork Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable NFPA codes, local fire regulations, and company standards Maintain a safe and organized work environment Qualifications 3+ years of experience working with fire alarm and low-voltage systems Strong experience working with Potter and Fire-Lite fire alarm panels is highly preferred Experience programming, servicing, and troubleshooting commercial fire alarm panels Experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting security systems Experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting access control systems Strong knowledge of commercial fire alarm panels, devices, and life-safety systems Experience troubleshooting fire alarm wiring, devices, and system issues Ability to read fire alarm plans, blueprints, and wiring diagrams Ability to work independently and manage service calls and projects in the field Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license Experience working with ServiceTrade software is a plus NICET certification is a plus
