Annual Job Summary:
Seeking a Fire Alarm Tech / Inspector to be responsible for installing, testing, inspecting, and servicing fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements. Responsibilities Perform fire alarm system inspections, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure fire alarm systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements. Complete service reports, inspection records, and documentation for all work performed. Identify system issues and recommend corrective actions to customers. Provide basic training and guidance on fire alarm system operation. Coordinate with internal teams and support quality control initiatives. Follow safety procedures while working on-site at customer locations. Qualifications
NICET II
certification required. Must have experience with fire alarm inspection and maintenance. Experience with fire alarm and life safety systems. Knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards, including NFPA and local building/fire codes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation. Experience with quality control practices and system compliance. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to provide training and explain system operation to customers or team members. Comfortable working in commercial and industrial environments, including climbing ladders and using hand and power tools. Relevant fire alarm certifications or licenses preferred. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics, low-voltage systems, or fire protection is a plus.
