In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of low-voltage electrical security systems, including CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, access control, and sensors. Your expertise will ensure that clients' physical security infrastructure operates seamlessly, providing peace of mind and enhanced safety. Duties Install, configure, and test security camera systems (CCTV), alarm systems, sensors, and access control devices according to electrical blueprints and schematics. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to low-voltage electrical wiring, computer hardware, telecommunication cabling, and network connectivity for security systems. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately wire and integrate door security systems, and surveillance equipment. Conduct routine maintenance checks on security hardware and software to ensure optimal performance; perform remote access software diagnostics when needed. Provide on-site technical troubleshooting support for physical security system malfunctions or failures; document all service activities thoroughly. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs; assist with alarm system sales and system design consultations. Use power tools and hand tools safely during installations; read electrical blueprints and schematics effectively to execute precise wiring tasks. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician specializing in electrical security system installation or troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, cabling, and electrical blueprint reading. Familiarity with CCTV surveillance equipment, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, alarm & access control systems. Knowledge of computer networking principles related to security devices; experience with remote access software is a plus. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, cabling techniques, power tools, hand tools, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Physical ability to work at heights or in confined spaces; comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
