Job Description

STAFFWORKS GROUP
is seeking an Access Control Technician to install, configure, and maintain electronic access control and security systems for client facilities. In this role, you'll handle card readers, keypads, door hardware, controllers, cabling, and basic network connections while troubleshooting system issues and performing regular maintenance. You'll review work orders, document service activities, and ensure compliance with safety and security standards, supporting a fast-paced, service-driven environment with strong teamwork and client focus. Responsibilities Install and wire access control hardware, panels, and related security devices at client sites. Configure, program, and test access control systems to meet customer requirements. Troubleshoot and repair access control and related low-voltage security issues. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure system reliability. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders for each project. Document service activities, parts used, and system changes accurately. Coordinate with project managers, clients, and team members on scheduling and scope. Follow safety procedures and comply with applicable codes and standards. Train end users on basic system operation when required. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.
