We'll pay you to learn the trade of alarm installation, and turn you into a fire alarm, intrusion alarm, access control, and video surveillance expert. Our technicians play an essential role in the safety of local communities, installing and programming security solutions in Michigan homes and businesses. Securatech Technicians are trained to work on state-of-the-art brands, such as First Alert®, DMP®, Digital Watchdog®, Notifier®, DSX®, and more. Your Responsibilities Install fire alarm, burglar alarm, card access, and video surveillance systems Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm systems Install wiring and perform necessary tasks to route and mount wires and conduit based on blueprints and wire layouts Perform system checks to confirm signal verification Instruct customers on system operation and functionality Provide reliable, high-quality customer support Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked vehicle Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner Qualifications Experience working as a fire alarm and security install and repair technician High school diploma/GED Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment Valid driver license Ability to use hand tools Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report Ability to work in Metro Detroit, Michigan, Without relocation assistance Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Previous working experience in related electrical fields
