Job Description
Position Summary:
The Social Services Coordinator is responsible for serving clients and coordinating the daily functions of the Social Services operation. In addition, this role oversees Social Services volunteers, participates in community collaborations and manages program funds and reporting requirementsEssential Responsibilities:
Meets with applicants; assists with application processes; assesses needs for food, utilities, housing, shelter, emotional support, spiritual care, etc.; determines eligibility for resources; develops plans to address the presenting problem.Provides information on resources; utilizes a person-centered approach to educate applicants utilizing a financial toolkit; coaches applicants on ways to reduce energy consumption as applicable.
