We are dedicated to providing reliable security solutions tailored to the financial industry's needs. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Access Control & Access Control Hardware Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support electronic access control systems and door hardware. The ideal candidate will have experience with access control platforms, card readers, electric locks, door operators, CCTV integration, and physical security systems. This role is responsible for ensuring the security, functionality, and compliance of access control infrastructure across company facilities. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain access control systems, including card readers, control panels, credentials, and associated software. Install, repair, and replace access control hardware such as: Electric strikes Magnetic locks Electrified door hardware Request-to-exit devices Power supplies Door contacts and sensors Troubleshoot system and hardware failures and perform corrective maintenance. Coordinate hardware and software upgrades for access control systems. Manage user access permissions, credentials, and access schedules. Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of security systems. Support integration between access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, testing, and service activities. Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements. Work with security personnel, facility management, contractors, and vendors on security-related projects. Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours support when required. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred. 2+ years of experience with access control systems and door hardware. Knowledge of physical security systems and low-voltage wiring. Experience installing and servicing electronic locking devices and door hardware. Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and access control software platforms. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between facilities as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with systems such as DMP Card Access & RS2 Card Access Systems Manufacturer certifications in access control or security systems. Experience with CCTV, intrusion detection, and integrated security platforms. Knowledge of life safety codes, ADA requirements, and door hardware standards. Low-voltage electrical or security industry certifications. Skills & Competencies Strong customer service and communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to security best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and work in ceilings and confined spaces. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and use hand tools for extended periods.
