You'll work both new construction installs and existing system service calls, working from drawings and specs, and making sure everything meets code before it's signed off. What You'll Do Install, wire, and program fire alarm control panels, initiating devices, and notification appliances Perform inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance in compliance with NFPA 72 and local AHJ requirements Troubleshoot and repair system faults in the field, on both new installs and existing customer systems Read and work from riser diagrams, shop drawings, and system specifications Complete required documentation: inspection reports, service tickets, and as-builts Coordinate with fire marshals, AHJs, and general contractors during inspections and final sign-off Support both new construction projects and service/retrofit work on existing systems What We're Looking For Hands-on experience installing and/or servicing fire alarm systems Preferred NICET Level I or II certification (Fire Alarm Systems) NC licensed low voltage/fire alarm technician, or eligibility to obtain licensure Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire code requirements Comfortable reading electrical and system drawings Comfortable working at heights, in ceilings, mechanical rooms, and other field conditions Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail on code compliance CRS Building Automation Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
