We sell and install Notifier fire alarm systems and service systems from numerous other manufacturers throughout the greater Charlotte area. certification Company vehicle that may be taken home Medical and dental insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid manufacturer training and certification support Opportunities for overtime and advancement Stable, full-time employment Responsibilities Install, inspect, test, service, and maintain commercial fire-alarm systems Program and commission Notifier systems based on training and authorization Diagnose ground faults, open circuits, communication failures, device issues, and panel troubles Service fire alarm systems from multiple manufacturers Perform system upgrades, device replacements, and customer-requested modifications Read drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and sequence-of-operations documents Complete inspection and service documentation accurately Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, and other trades Follow applicable codes, NFPA standards, safety requirements, and company procedures Qualifications Commercial fire-alarm installation or service experience Strong low-voltage electrical and troubleshooting skills Ability to use multimeter and diagnose system problems independently Ability to read plans, riser diagrams, and wiring documentation Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Professional communication and customer-service skills Ability to pass applicable background and registration requirements Preferred qualifications Notifier installation, service, or programming experience NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification NICET Level II or higher Experience servicing multiple fire alarm manufacturers Knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable electrical and life-safety codes Experience working with networked systems, communicators, and building interfaces Notifier experience is preferred but not required. Experienced technicians with other fire-alarm manufacturer backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Pay:
$27.00 - $33.00 per hour
