We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Licensed Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in low-voltage security systems, access control, and related technology, along with excellent troubleshooting skills and pride in their workmanship. This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, interacting with customers, and taking on new challenges. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:System Maintenance:
Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial low-voltage systems.Access Control:
Install, wire, troubleshoot, and program access control, intercom, and related low-voltage systems.Technical Analysis:
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, plans, and system documentation.Diagnostics:
Diagnose complex system and wiring issues to determine and execute appropriate solutions.Programming:
Perform system programming and configuration as required for optimal functionality.Equipment Mastery:
Utilize hand tools and specialized electrical/low-voltage troubleshooting equipment daily.Communication:
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and other members of the Kamco team.Workplace Standards:
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment in the field and company vehicles.Quality Assurance:
Complete work accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Licensing:
Valid Class D License (Required).Driving Record:
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical education is preferred.Technical Experience:
Strong installation, service, and troubleshooting experience in commercial or residential security systems.Specialized Skills:
Hands-on experience with access control system wiring, installation, and programming.Basic Knowledge:
Solid understanding of basic low-voltage electrical systems, hand tools, and troubleshooting equipment.Computer Literacy:
Ability to confidently navigate Microsoft Windows and related computer software/systems.Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.Work Style:
Ability to work independently in the field as well as collaboratively part of a team.Screening:
Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.Mindset:
