Automatic Gate & Low Voltage Gate Technician VIP Staffing - 3.6 Albuquerque, NM Job Details Full-time $30 - $35 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work experience Alarm & access control systems Machine troubleshooting Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Electrical security system installation Driver's License Blueprint dimension interpretation Electrical layout diagram interpretation Electrical diagnostics Physical security system troubleshooting Door security system integration Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description VIP Staffing is Immediately hiring an Automatic and Low-Voltage Gate Technician This is a Direct Hire position paying $30-$35 per hour Full Time The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm As an Automatic and Low-Voltage Gate Technician you will: Install commercial automatic gate operators, access control equipment, and related hardware Troubleshoot and repair gate operators, control boards, safety devices, loop detectors, and access control systems Install and terminate low-voltage wiring Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer installation manuals. Program gate operators, keypads, telephone entry systems, card readers, and remote controls. Install photo eyes, safety edges, loop detectors, and other UL 325 safety device. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and communication issues. Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls. Coordinate with fabrication and fencing crews during new installations. Maintain accurate service records and communicate professionally with customers. Follow OSHA safety requirements and company safety procedures. Automatic and Low-Voltage Gate Technicians must meet the following requirements for consideration: 3+ years of commercial automatic gate installation or service experience. Experience with commercial access control systems Strong mechanical and electrical trouble shooting abilities Ability to read electrical schematics Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work out doors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
