Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated person with experience inspecting, installing and repairing Fire Alarm & Suppression systems or other electrical experience, including running wire, and installing and programming panels. Responsibilities Have knowledge of current State/National Fire and Electrical Codes. Have database management skills /computer literate. Work with blueprints, take offs and as-builts. Install cabling, security, fire alarm, fire suppression system components and perform final connections. Display strong troubleshooting and problem- solving techniques. Program IP video/CCTV, access control, intrusion, fire alarm, suppression, and other security system solutions. Experience Proven experience installing, maintaining, or servicing fire systems in commercial or industrial environments. Strong knowledge of fire systems including proprietary panels, sensors, schematics, and low voltage electrical work. Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, CAD drawings, and construction documents accurately. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to client interactions; previous experience in service technician roles is preferred. Other Requirements Must submit to and pass a drug screening and background check. Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record. Ability to lift an 80 lb. extension ladder. Ability to work 15 to 25 feet above ground. Flexibility to work overtime, rotational on-call, and travel overnight as needed. Ability and desire to learn bout our products and services. Our ideal Fire Systems Technician will have 2+ years of hands- on experience with a strong understanding of fire systems solutions and be highly motivated with an eye towards quality. NICET Certification is a PLUS. Our candidate will be well organized with good written and oral communication skills and be able to work independently. $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
