Job Description

We are seeking a hard-working, experienced, dedicated Fire Sprinkler Technician/Inspector to join our organization. We are seeking a skilled and motivated candidate to fill our Fire Sprinkler Technician/Inspector role to serve our customers on Long Island, NY. This individual should have extensive experience in inspecting, servicing and repairing sprinkler systems. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with little supervision. The qualifications of the successful candidate will include: Minimum of 2 years' experience working on automatic fire sprinkler systems, Capability to diagnosing complex customer's problems and explaining these issues and alternative repair solutions to the customer, Must be able to follow a daily appointment schedule with stops at multiple customer locations, Certification of Fitness in sprinkler testing and inspection is a plus, Ability to be available on-call when scheduled (paid to be on-call and paid time and one-half for all after hour customers calls) Experience in installation of small sprinkler systems is a plus Excellent writing skills, Organized paperwork skills to maintain service tickets and timely process all documentation for service performed, OSHA certification a plus High level of attention to detail, Critical thinker, problem solver, Self-starter with strong work ethic, Maintenance of a valid driver's license.
The position is responsible for:
Conducting inspections, servicing and repairing sprinkler systems, Consulting with customers including identifying system issues and explaining potential repairs or replacements, Performing emergency troubleshooting and solutions on our customer's systems, Identifying code non-compliance issues, Preparing service tickets on a timely basis.
