The ideal candidate is a detailed, analytical problem-solver who can make decisions solely, responsively and proficiently on matters related to providing customers a fully-functioning fire protection system. Position Summary Write the program for fire alarm and fire suppression intelligent systems. Install panel boards, transformers, and batteries. Make all terminations at the control panel and power supplies. Troubleshoot wiring issues and defective modules in the field. Perform full functional testing for all control panels including conventional and intelligent control panels. Perform room integrity assessment and testing. Perform puff and pressure testing. Attend project commissioning meetings. Complete as-built drawings and all required documentation to project manager at project completion. Ability to perform final testing with (AHJ'S) Authority Having Jurisdiction. Provide technical support to Service, Construction, Salesmen, Engineering and Project Managers. Maintain a professional appearance, attitude and relationship with customers and employees at all times. Keep assigned company vehicle clean and well maintained
Required:
High School Diploma or a General Educational Development Diploma (GED). Two years of technical training and three - four years field troubleshooting experience. Extensive knowledge of various Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression systems. Excellent communication skills, organizational, and time management skills. Must be able to read and understand isometric/electrical drawings. Willingness to travel, including out of town work with overnight stays. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Ability to pass required pre-employment drug-screening, background check and satisfactory driving history.
Preferred:
Two to four-year degree in a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience. NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems, Special Hazard Systems, Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement Systems.
Pay Range:
$22.93 - $36.36. May increase depending on level of experience of the candidate.
