TekSolv has openings for Fire Protection Technicians to support a local, Philadelphia client.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Technician must have the ability to respond while on duty to emergency calls as they originate. Individual will possess fire ground operation experience as well as serving as an emergency medical responder capable of rendering first aid in the event a situation arises. Ability to climb and enter confined spaces should the need arise. Strong rescue background. Ability to interact with different agencies including responding fire service and United States Coast Guard, Natural Recourses, Police, etc.. Ability to function in stressful situations should the need arise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Functions in uncommon situations; has a basic understanding of stress response and methods to ensure personal well-being Has an understanding of body substance isolation Understands basic medical-legal principles Functions within the scope of care as defined by state, regional and local regulatory agencies Render 1st aid as needed Able to don fire suppression gear and perform duties Ability to make decisions as they apply to fire/safety related areas Understand and able to communicate clearly and efficiently in stressful situations Fundamental understanding of fire ground operations as they apply to industrial facilities Fundamental understanding of fire and EMS apparatus Complete necessary inspections and document Review and inspect fire suppression systems and conduct minor maintenance Ability to work with facility safety department to address situations and come up with plans based upon safest options Individual will possess a strong work ethic with ability to problem solve Perform additional inspections and duties as assigned by facility management
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS
Certified First Responder with First Aid/AED/CPR through approved vendor (Red Cross, American Heart, etc.) EMT Certification National Firefighter I or equivalent Minimum Hazardous Materials Operations Minimum TekSolv Confined Space Training and Rope Rescue Pay rate is dependent on credentials and training completion.
Pay:
$20.00 - $39.50 per hour
