Position Title:

Fire Alarm/Security Technician Location:

Reading, PA Duration:

Monday-Friday with some overtime, nights, and weekends as necessary

Dependent on level of experience

Job Summary:

Install, test, maintain, and repair access control, IP video, fire safety, and security systems that ensure the safety of occupants of both residential and commercial facilities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Arrive at customers location ready to work at the scheduled time.
• Install fire and security systems and make sure that every feature is functional.
• Read and understand product manuals and necessary tools.
• Respond to service calls, troubleshoot devices and systems.
• Educate customers on their systems.
• Knowledge about fire safety codes and regulations
• Ensure devices meet all local and federal laws and building codes.
• Attend training sessions as assigned.
• Complete necessary jobsite paperwork.

Qualifications/Skills:

• A valid driver's license with a good driving record
• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
• Demonstrate integrity and honesty.
• Represent the company in a professional manner.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, team player with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience preferred, but not required.
• Detail oriented, problem solver

Basic Computer Skills Physical Requirements:

• Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work off of ladders and lifts.
