In this energetic role, you will install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of low-voltage electrical security systems, including alarm systems, access control, CCTV surveillance, sensors, fire alarms, and intercoms. Your expertise will help protect properties and assets while providing exceptional customer service. Duties Install electrical security systems such as alarm & access control systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, and door security integrations according to schematics and blueprints. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on low-voltage electrical wiring, cabling, and telecommunication equipment to ensure optimal system performance. Interpret technical drawings and electrical blueprints to accurately configure system components and wiring layouts. Diagnose and resolve issues related to equipment malfunction, network connectivity, remote access software, or sensor failures using hand tools and power tools. Conduct system testing and calibration to verify proper operation of intrusion detection systems (IDS), surveillance cameras, alarm panels, and intercoms. Provide technical troubleshooting support for physical security system problems on-site or remotely while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs, recommend solutions, and assist with alarm system sales when appropriate. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in electrical security system installation and troubleshooting. Proficiency in computer hardware setup, network configuration, and telecommunication systems related to security solutions. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, electrical blueprints, and wiring diagrams accurately. Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems including wiring practices compliant with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Experience working in field service environments with a focus on customer satisfaction and clear communication. Familiarity with surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and remote access software for system monitoring. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, cabling techniques, and locksmithing tools necessary for secure installations.
