Below is a summary of our current Skillbridge opportunities: Human Resource Specialist- Support the Staffing & Compensation team by: Assisting with recruitment, applicant screening, and job postings. Analyzing HR data and ensuring compliance with hiring processes. Supporting career fairs, candidate sourcing, and training initiatives. Developing skills in HR operations, communication, and relationship management. IT Systems Analyst
- Gain hands-on cybersecurity and IT operations experience by: Monitoring systems and identifying cybersecurity risks. Supporting vulnerability management and remediation efforts. - Support the City's emergency preparedness and security programs by: Assisting with emergency plans, policies, and training exercises. Conducting facility security assessments. - Assist engineering survey crews by: Supporting topographic and engineering surveys. Operating survey equipment and GPS data collectors. Recording field measurements and identifying property boundaries. Assisting with utility locating and field operations. Cyber Security Analyst
- Develop foundational cybersecurity skills by: Supporting network security and monitoring operations. Assisting with incident response and documentation. Learning cybersecurity tools, technologies, and best practices. Providing customer support and technical problem resolution. Electrician
- Work alongside experienced electricians to: Assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. Support preventive maintenance of generators, fire alarms, and lighting. Learn troubleshooting techniques and electrical safety practices. Maintain work orders and service documentation. Utility Mechanic
- Gain experience maintaining the City's utility infrastructure by: Assisting with water, sewer, and pump station maintenance. Operating tools, vehicles, and construction equipment. Supporting repairs, troubleshooting, and emergency response. Following safety procedures while working in varied field environments. Administrative Specialist
- Build administrative and organizational skills by: Assisting with budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting. Supporting research, data analysis, and office operations. Preparing professional communications and presentations. Providing customer service and administrative support. Traffic Signal Electronics Technician
- Support the maintenance of the City's traffic signal systems by: Assisting with installation, testing, and repair of traffic signal equipment.
Police Recruit :
Law enforcement procedures, ethics, and community policing. Report writing, investigations, and critical thinking. Officer safety, defensive tactics, and firearms proficiency. Communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Firefighter Recruit :
Learning firefighting, rescue, and emergency response techniques. Participating in classroom and hands-on fire service training.
