Job Description
Auto Body Technician — OKrazy Oxford, Alabama | Full-Time | In Person OKrazy is looking for an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our growing automotive team in Oxford, Alabama. We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in automotive body repair, metal work, panel replacement, welding, disassembly, reassembly, and vehicle reconditioning . Automotive welding experience is required for this position. Responsibilities Repair dents, damaged panels, and vehicle body components. Straighten and reshape damaged metal and body panels. Remove and replace damaged body panels and structural components. Perform automotive welding for panel replacement and body repairs. Perform cutting, grinding, fitting, and metal preparation as needed. Disassemble vehicles before body repairs. Reassemble bumpers, lights, trim, panels, doors, and related components after repairs. Check panel alignment, body gaps, fitment, and overall repair quality. Apply and shape body filler when necessary. Sand and prepare repaired areas for refinishing and paint. Identify additional damage or parts needed during the repair process. Communicate repair needs, parts needs, and progress with management and the rest of the team. Safely operate welding equipment, grinders, sanders, body tools, and other shop equipment. Maintain tools and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Follow shop safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment. Inspect completed repairs before the vehicle moves to the next stage of reconditioning. Required Qualifications Previous hands-on experience as an Auto Body Technician, Collision Repair Technician, Body Repair Technician, or similar automotive position . Experience with automotive body repair and metal straightening. Automotive welding experience is required. Experience removing and replacing body panels. Ability to disassemble and reassemble vehicle exterior components. Ability to properly use body repair, welding, grinding, and sanding equipment. Ability to identify damaged components and determine what needs to be repaired or replaced. Strong attention to detail and workmanship. Dependable and punctual. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to maintain a safe and organized work environment. General welding experience alone is not sufficient. Applicants must also have hands-on automotive body repair experience.
