No collision repair experience? No problem! If you're dependable, motivated, enjoy working with your hands, and want to learn a skill you can build a career around, we want to hear from you! Lewis Automotive Group is looking for a Collision Center Shop Helper to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door of the automotive industry, learn from experienced technicians, and develop real-world skills. Every day will give you an opportunity to learn something new and develop skills that can help you advance within the automotive industry.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist experienced technicians with vehicle disassembly, parts removal, and repair preparation. Help install replacement parts and complete basic repair tasks under technician supervision. Learn and assist with sanding, masking, filling, priming, and preparing vehicles for body and paint work. Clean and prepare vehicles before and after repairs. Organize parts and make sure technicians have what they need to keep repairs moving. Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and safe. Help move vehicles around the facility and occasionally assist with vehicle pickup or delivery. Follow safety procedures and work as part of a team to get the job done right.
WHY THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY
This isn't just a job — it's a chance to learn a trade. You'll get hands-on experience working around experienced automotive professionals while learning how the collision repair process works from start to finish. If you prove yourself, show initiative, and continue learning, there is room to grow. If you've ever thought, "I'd like to learn how to work on cars," this could be your opportunity to get started. Qualifications
WE'RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO
Want to learn! Previous collision or automotive experience is NOT required. Show up, work hard, and take pride in what they do. Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Pay attention to detail and care about doing the job right. Can follow directions and work well with experienced technicians. Enjoy working with their hands and being part of a team. Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on shop environment. Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Can stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS
BUT NOT REQUIRED
