Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using hand tools, power tools, and automotive welding equipment. Conduct welding repairs such as MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques to restore vehicle frames and panels. Utilize sanding tools, auto painting equipment, and airless paint spraying systems to achieve high-quality finishes. Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim, and other components with precision. Apply automotive cosmetic repair techniques to ensure vehicles meet manufacturer standards for appearance and safety. Use auto estimating skills to assess damage and determine necessary repairs while communicating effectively with customers about the process. Assist in auto restoration projects by fabricating custom parts or repairing vintage vehicles using sheet metal and welding techniques. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting, use of power tools, and welding procedures. Qualifications Proven experience as an automotive body technician or similar role within a dealership or collision repair shop. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and cosmetic refinishing processes. Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and the use of automotive welding equipment. Familiarity with auto painting methods including airless paint spraying and automotive body refinishing. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive parts installation procedures. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in vehicle maintenance and auto restoration projects. Ability to work efficiently as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail on every job. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates.
