Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Body Man to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition by performing precise body repairs, welding, fabrication, and finishing work. Your expertise will help ensure our customers receive high-quality service and exceptional vehicle restoration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automotive welding equipment, sheet metal, and auto body repair techniques in a fast-paced environment where your craftsmanship makes a real difference. Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment using hand tools and power tools. Utilize MIG welding, automotive welding equipment, and soldering techniques to repair or fabricate vehicle parts. Conduct sheet metal fabrication and repair techniques to restore vehicle structures and panels. Prepare surfaces through sanding, sanding tools, and auto painting to achieve a smooth finish. Install auto glass, perform auto restoration tasks, and handle auto painting with airless paint spraying equipment. Use auto estimating skills to assess damage, determine repair scope, and communicate effectively with customers about repair processes. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as heavy lifting, assembly, and detailed auto body work to ensure quality results. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or independent shop. Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques including welding repair, fabrication, sanding tools, and auto painting. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, soldering, automotive welding equipment, and sheet metal fabrication. Familiarity with auto restoration projects and the use of various hand tools and power tools for precise repairs. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto glass installation, and automotive repair processes. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to accurately estimate repairs using auto estimating software. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during all phases of vehicle repair.
