Responsibilities Perform comprehensive auto body repairs, including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural restoration using advanced fabrication techniques. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to repair or replace damaged panels and structural components. Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, bumpers, and other components with precision using hand tools and power tools. Apply automotive cosmetic repair techniques to restore vehicle appearance, including auto restoration projects when necessary. Follow auto estimating procedures to assess damage and determine necessary repairs accurately. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards for heavy lifting, welding, and chemical handling. Experience Proven experience working as an automotive body technician in a dealership or collision center environment. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and sheet metal fabrication techniques. Skilled in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and the use of automotive welding equipment. Familiarity with auto painting processes including auto body refinishing and auto painting techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, parts installation, and general automotive repair. Experience with auto glass replacement, auto estimating software, and customer service interactions is preferred.
