Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess repair needs using computer-aided estimating software. Prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates that include parts, labor, and materials, ensuring transparency and clarity for clients and insurance companies. Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines to enhance satisfaction and trust. Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and service managers to coordinate repairs and verify repair scopes align with estimates. Upsell additional services such as vehicle maintenance or enhancements by identifying customer needs during the estimation process. Maintain detailed records of estimates, repairs, and client interactions to ensure smooth workflow and accountability. Assist in managing dealership or shop operations related to auto service management, including cash handling and service writing. Qualifications Proven experience as an Auto Body Estimator / Collision Estimator in a collision repair facility. Strong knowledge of collision repair processes , including vehicle damage assessment, repair procedures, parts replacement, refinishing, and structural repairs. Experience using estimating software such as CCC ONE or Mitchell. Ability to accurately inspect vehicles, identify collision-related damage, and write comprehensive repair estimates . Knowledge of OEM repair procedures, insurance guidelines, and industry standards . Experience working with insurance companies, adjusters, and customers throughout the repair process. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain repairs, estimates, timelines, and insurance-related information. Ability to identify additional collision-related damage and necessary repairs during the estimating process. Strong attention to detail and ability to document vehicle damage accurately through photos, notes, and estimates. Ability to manage multiple customers, estimates, and repair orders in a fast-paced collision repair environment . Valid driver's license required for vehicle inspections, moving customer vehicles, and test drives when necessary . Dealership or DRP experience is a must.
