Overview 805 Body Works is seeking an experienced Auto Body Paint Prepper / Painter's Helper to join our team. We are a busy, quality-focused collision repair facility looking for a reliable individual who can step in and contribute immediately. This is not an entry-level position . Responsibilities Prepare vehicles and panels for paint Sand, feather-edge, block, and finish surfaces to paint-ready condition Mask and protect vehicles for refinishing Prime repaired panels and perform final prep work Maintain a clean and organized paint department Follow OEM procedures and shop quality standards Requirements ✅ Minimum 2 years of paint prep or collision repair experience ✅ Experience with sanding, masking, priming, and vehicle preparation ✅ Knowledge of proper paint shop procedures and materials ✅ Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship ✅ Reliable transportation and consistent attendance ✅ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment ✅ Own automotive body shop tools preferred, but not required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, year-round employment Opportunity for growth within the company Professional work environment Paid Time Off Holiday Pay Aflac Apply Today The ideal candidate can work independently, read repair orders accurately, communicate effectively with the painter, and ensure vehicles are properly prepared and ready for refinishing while maintaining production deadlines and quality standards.
