Job Overview We are looking for a skilled experienced, reliable and detail-oriented Auto body Painter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming vehicles through expert surface preparation, precise painting, and finishing techniques. Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primers, paints, coatings, and clear finishes using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with precision. Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, welding, and minor structural fixes to create a smooth foundation for painting. Utilize automotive buffing and polishing techniques to achieve a flawless finish and enhance vehicle appearance. Operate power tools such as grinders, sanders, and buffing machines safely while maintaining proper respiratory protection protocols. Conduct auto glass replacements and repairs as needed during the refinishing process. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including surface preparation steps and paint formulations, ensuring quality control at every stage. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive painting and refinishing. Proficiency in surface preparation, masking techniques, sanding, and auto body repair processes. Skilled in the use of painting and coating spray guns, airless paint spraying systems, grinders, and other power tools. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and auto restoration projects. Ability to operate welding equipment safely and perform auto glass repairs when necessary. Familiarity with automotive buffing, detailing, and finishing techniques to deliver a high-quality appearance. Knowledge of automotive surface preparation standards along with proper use of respiratory protection equipment. Excellent customer service skills combined with auto estimating experience for accurate job assessments. Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing during repair procedures.
