Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Heavy Repair Technician, Body Man, or Hojalatero and become a vital part of restoring vehicles to their original glory! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for performing heavy-duty auto body repairs, fabricating custom parts, and ensuring each vehicle meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will help customers get back on the road confidently, while you enjoy a fast-paced, rewarding work environment that values craftsmanship and precision. Responsibilities Perform extensive auto body repairs including frame straightening, panel replacement, and heavy collision damage restoration. Use MIG welding, soldering, and various welding techniques to repair or fabricate sheet metal components. Operate power tools, hand tools, and other equipment to prepare surfaces and apply paint finishes. Conduct vehicle assessments to determine repair needs and provide accurate auto estimating. Fabricate custom parts and panels using sheet metal working techniques to match original specifications. Reassemble vehicles with attention to detail, ensuring proper alignment, fitment, and finish. Perform auto glass replacement and repairs with precision, maintaining safety standards at all times. Assist with auto restoration projects by applying mechanical knowledge and automotive repair skills. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and tool usage. Deliver excellent customer service by communicating repair progress clearly and professionally. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or professional auto body repair background preferred. Skilled in MIG welding, fabrication, soldering, and working with sheet metal. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including vehicle maintenance and repairs. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, auto painting techniques, and auto glass installation. Experience with auto estimating software and understanding of auto body repair procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of auto restoration processes and automotive repair standards is a plus. Excellent attention to detail combined with a passion for craftsmanship and quality workmanship. Join us in transforming damaged vehicles into works of art!
