Job Description
Overview This Position Is Located In Waycross GA We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Experienced Painters Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing vehicles for painting by ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth, taped, masked and ready for paint application. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with various tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment. You will start on Day Shift 6am-3pm until Paint Shop Supervisor is confident in your abilities, usually 1 week. 2nd Shift hours M-F 3pm-midnight with some required O/Tand Saturday work as needed per work load. Starting Pay Based Upon Experience and will be discussed during interview. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas as needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to achieve desired surface conditions. Assist in the removal and installation of auto components as necessary. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify areas needing repair or additional prep work. Collaborate with the painting team to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members regarding project status. Experience Previous experience in auto body repair , spraying primer, prep/spray bedliner, sand /paint prep, tape/mask and assist painter with some parts paint work Familiarity with mechanical knowledge and the use of hand tools and power tools is essential. Experience working in a bodyshop environment is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the preparation process. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Customer service skills are beneficial for effective communication with team members.
