Job Description
Summary As an Auto Body Repair Technician, you will repair and restore damaged vehicles to their original condition, ensuring safety and quality workmanship. You will perform welding repairs, sheet metal work, dent repair, and structural restoration while applying mechanical knowledge and precise hand tools. You will report to the shop supervisor and collaborate with team members to deliver efficient, high-quality auto body repairs. Join us to help vehicles look and perform like new. •Pay based on experience. Responsibilities Inspect damaged vehicles to determine scope of repair and plan corrective actions. Perform welding repair, sheet metal fabrication, and structural restoration using MIG/TIG and traditional methods as needed. Remove and replace damaged components, straighten frames, and reinstall parts, ensuring proper fit and alignment. Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment to assess panels, gaps, and tolerances; perform sand, grind, and finish work for seamless results. Maintain safety protocols, document work performed, and communicate progress with teammates and customers as required. Qualifications Proven experience in auto body repair with emphasis on welding repair and automotive dent repair Proficient with hand tools, sheet metal work, and structural repair; strong mechanical knowledge MIG welding and soldering skills; ability to perform precision measurements and dimensional checks Experience with automotive surface preparation, parts installation, and basic airless paint spraying Dealership experience preferred; strong customer service mindset and safety awareness Ability to lift heavy components and work as part of a collaborative repair team
