Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural repairs. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to shape, align, and restore vehicle panels and frames. Conduct automotive cosmetic repairs including auto painting, auto body refinishing, airless paint spraying, and detailing to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision. Apply fabrication skills to create custom parts or repair damaged sheet metal using fabrication repair techniques. Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. Collaborate with team members on auto restoration projects and assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or independent shop. Some knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and automotive cosmetic repair techniques. Familiarity with working with sheet metal, automotive parts installation, auto painting, sanding tools, and detailing processes. Some mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and general automotive repair practices. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and work effectively with hand tools and power tools for extended periods.
