Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician with extensive experience in vehicle repair and restoration. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and care. Your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance will ensure our customers receive top-quality service. Duties Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural straightening using advanced techniques such as MIG welding, soldering, and sheet metal work. Utilize a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and auto painting equipment. Fabricate custom parts or modify existing components through welding, assembly, and metalworking skills to meet specific repair needs. Inspect vehicles thoroughly for mechanical issues related to auto restoration or general automotive repair; perform necessary mechanical adjustments or repairs. Communicate effectively with management and co-workers regarding the scope of work and estimated timelines. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years experience in an auto body repair shop or dealership is highly preferred. Must have your own tools. Strong proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and sheet metal work. Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and auto estimating processes. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and specialized auto body repair tools safely and efficiently. Knowledge of automotive repair standards and safety protocols; ability to perform detailed detailing work when required. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly about repairs and estimates. Flatbed towing experience is a plus! Work independently or as part of a team, utilize good judgement, follow company rules, demonstrate attention to detail.
