Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Collision Technician / Recon Technician, where your expertise will be vital in restoring vehicles to their optimal condition. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of collision repairs, vehicle restorations, and custom fabrication projects. You'll be at the forefront of automotive repair, utilizing your skills to bring vehicles back to life with precision and care. Responsibilities Perform collision repairs, including frame straightening, panel replacement, and structural assessments using industry-standard tools and techniques Conduct vehicle inspections to identify damage and determine repair strategies Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques for metal fabrication and repairs Repair or replace auto glass, sheet metal, and perform auto painting using airless paint spraying equipment Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for disassembly, assembly, and finishing tasks Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes, estimates, and customer communications Assist with auto restoration projects by fabricating custom parts and restoring vintage or damaged vehicles Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations while adhering to dealership or shop protocols Experience Proven dealership or auto body shop experience with collision repair and auto restoration projects Skilled in MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, soldering, and the use of various hand and power tools Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engine components, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems Experience with auto estimating software and customer service interactions preferred Familiarity with auto painting techniques such as airless spray painting and detailing processes Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs Knowledge of auto glass installation, auto painting procedures, and general automotive repair practices This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced environment.
