In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential auto body repairs, painting, and finishing work to restore vehicles to their optimal condition. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about vehicle restoration, auto painting, and auto body repair. Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel alignment, and structural straightening using hand tools and power tools. Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and specialty finishes using airless paint spraying equipment and buffing techniques. Conduct auto glass replacements and repairs as needed to ensure safety and quality standards. Use welding skills to repair or replace damaged metal panels or structural components of vehicles. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, including estimating time and materials required for each job. Assist with detailing vehicles post-repair to ensure a pristine appearance for customer delivery. Operate heavy lifting equipment safely when handling large or heavy vehicle parts during repair processes. Collaborate with team members on auto restoration projects to achieve seamless results. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and addressing customer inquiries professionally. Experience Prior dealership experience is highly preferred, providing familiarity with vehicle repair standards and customer service expectations. Proven experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or related fields such as auto restoration or mechanic work. Knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical systems within vehicles is essential for effective repairs. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, buffing equipment, airless paint sprayers, and other automotive repair tools. Understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and auto estimating practices is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during parts replacement or structural repairs. Experience working with auto glass installation or repair is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with attention to detail ensures high-quality workmanship across all tasks.
