Responsibilities Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural realignment using welding repair, MIG welding, and fabrication techniques. Utilize hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment to shape, repair, and restore vehicle bodies. Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, bumpers, and other components with precision and care. Execute automotive cosmetic repairs including sanding, detailing, and auto restoration to ensure vehicles meet quality standards. Apply automotive repair knowledge to perform auto glass replacement, auto parts installation, and vehicle maintenance tasks efficiently. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and assist in auto estimating processes to determine scope of repairs. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician with dealership or collision center background preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal work, and fabrication repair techniques. Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and the use of automotive welding equipment. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive repair processes. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and other shop equipment necessary for auto body work. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a physically demanding environment. Familiarity with auto estimating software is a plus; mechanic experience is advantageous.
